Hello, thanks for taking your time to read this. We gladly welcomed a whole new group of campers in today, and it was so refreshing and exciting to see their smiles and hear their voices. After they unpacked their belongings and settled in to their cabins or dorms, we had the opportunity to hear a lesson on how Moses was used by God to part the waters so as to allow the Israelites to pass through on dry ground. God did this as a way to show His love for us, and shows His love to us in countless ways. The camp barn area is a main attraction as campers can see, pet and sometimes feed the animals (cow, mini horses, a fawn and a number of other animals! We had a great lunch which the cooks prepared for us and participated in worship through music after a drama (each color team presents us with a drama, complete with props and costumes!) and before a lesson. Following a brief break and time for changing clothes and visiting, we headed off to one of several recreation stations. There was swimming, archery and climbing available for those who wanted to relax, face a fear, or try something new. For our evening worship time after dinner, Ed Moore spoke on how God loves us, even when we fall short, even when we sin, He loves us just the same. He longs for us to love Him and want to spend time in His presence through worship, times of prayer and through our daily interactions with others. Our evening was concluded with a time of singing and games at the campfire and the availability of a gooey, chocolatey and crunchy treat known as S’mores. Mmm!
Lord-willing, tomorrow will be a great time together, an opportunity to make God happy while serving others.
