Hispanic Family Camp 8-8-09 Rafael Tirado
08-08-09 (Hispanic Family) Rafael Tirado August 9th, 2009After check-in and opening remarks, Hispanic Family Camp began with a tour of Rainbow. Some chose to take a walking tour while other chose to ride in the wagon. Afterwards everyone gathered in the auditorium for music, songs, & prayer before the special speaker, Steve, talk to the adults about the family of God while the children played games and listened to stories about Jesus. After lunch, a special slideshow of pictures from past Hispanic Camps was shown followed by Bible class, worship and Bible competitions before everyone headed out to recreation. Stations that were open included canoeing, climbing, and swimming. After getting cooled off and cleaned up, everyone headed to supper follwed by singing, a skit performed by the teenagers, and the last Bible class of the evening. The teenagers then headed out to a bonfire while the adults watched a movie called “Fireproof.” It was then off to bed and lights out as everyone went to bed thoroughly exhausted from a fun, yet busy day.
