Today was so full of activities and times of fellowship together. During our team meetings and sensory/discovery times, we had the opportunity to take pictures with the mini horses here at camp! Ellie, Buddy and Dusty made their appearances while on halters and walked around the tent. They have been/are being trained to be therapy animals and they can be very gentle and loving. The campers greatly enjoyed touching, hugging, kissing and looking at the horses, while we took pictures. One of the highlights of today was the Flying Squirrel. This initiative takes and makes a team of people to haul the “flyer” up into the air by a harness and a rope. Rod, Gabby and Oscar came for a visit and a time of ventriloquism during which they explained what ventriloquism is, along with telling each camper that God loves them-AT ALL TIMES. Campers asked for autographs and lots of pictures were taken-Rod and Bev stayed for the remainder of the service and worshiped with us through song. It is soo neat and refreshing hearing these campers pray and worship. At the time of campfire, there was a pretty serious game of volleyball taking place in the sand and it was toe-to-toe competition…

Again, this evening, Mephibosheth campers got to have S’mores. Mmm! There is some talk of packing up and heading home to parents and caregivers, but for tonight may we rest well.
